Prince Rainier III collected vehicles for decades and the collection is now shown publicly in Fontvieille: early twentieth-century motor cars, state limousines used by the family, and competition cars connected with the principality.
It is a straightforward, well-lit display rather than an interpretive museum — the objects are the point.
It sits on the reclaimed ground at Fontvieille, a few minutes from the rose garden.
Worth it if cars interest you and skippable if they do not — which is a more useful thing to say than most museum descriptions manage.
